Production values
The studio's ethos is to achieve the best sound quality while preserving the emotion and energy of a real live performance. I have a lot of experience in finding the right approach/production techniques to capture the essence of what you do. Regardless of how much studio experience you may have, I shall deliver a personal and original recording.
A unique environment
Based in my home, the studio is as welcoming and relaxed as it can be. Yet it isn't a "home project studio" at all. While most recording studios in Edinburgh have larger premises, very few can match the soundproofing and acoustics of our tracking room. As for the standard of the equipment... frankly you won't find better quality microphones, outboard, instruments, amplifiers and effects even in recording studios charging top rates.
A personal approach
I love traditional & folk music, acoustic songwriters and guitar-based bands. It gives me great satisfaction to produce such music making it sound personal, involving and fresh.
