Hello I’m Andrea. 21seven is the result of 15 years of work, experimentation and investment in order to match the acoustics, sound proofing and equipment typical of the big studios in a home environment.
As a result the best tools available – which will inspire you and harness your creativity – come without the price tag.
The studio combines modern technology, analogue equipment and old-fashioned production values, where musicality and instinct always come first.
My way of working is very different than most.
I am here to help you realise your artistic vision and find your sound, so that you end up with a recording that is truful to who you are.
Sound engineers have become obsessed with perfect pitch and timing. Recording with click tracks, everything is snatched to a grid, coping and pasting bits and pieces to speed up production. Vocals are auto-tuned.
This is madness: your music isn’t a Word document and shouldn’t be treated as such! Your pitch is integral part of your singing and shouldn’t be messed with. An amazing, inspired take with small imperfections is way better than one that is technically perfect but lifeless.
In here we’ll have none of that sanitising that is killing any music worth listening to.
